Release Agents
The release agent is applied to the tool. This may be a liquid release coating, a wax, or even a solid barrier such as Teflon tape. The release agent prevents the resin system from bonding to the tool, thereby allowing the product to be demoulded.

  • Run in Wax - Pastewax. General purpose release agent. Suitable for using with PVA.
  • PVA - Release lacquer. Used with polyester products.
    
    
• Frekote - A range of semi-permanent, multiple release agents for thermoset or thermoplastic polymers.
  • Very high performance for production and offering high slip or high gloss surface finish.
  • Frekote generally does not transfer onto the component.

• Mirrorglaze - High performance paste wax. Minimum wax build up in use.
