Moulding and Casting
URETHANE RUBBER
- Vytaflex Series
Using Smooth-On’s exclusive “V-Polymer” technology,
VytaFlex urethane rubbers offer superior physical and performance
properties. VytaFlex urethanes are available in 20A, 30A and
60A Shore hardness’s and feature convenient one-to-one
by volume mix ratios. Vacuum degassing is not necessary and VytaFlex
rubbers cure with negligible shrinkage to a durable rubber that
will last in production. VytaFlex mould rubbers are used for
a variety of applications including making moulds to reproduce
sculpture and architectural elements, as well as for making special
effects, toys and prototypes. They will meet the stringent demands
of production casting of concrete, plasters, and other materials.
Vibrant colors can be achieved by adding So-Strong Color
Tints. VytaFlex mould rubbers work especially well for
casting pigmented concrete or gypsum.

- Brush On 40
Smooth-On’s Brush-On Series of mould rubbers are known
for their abrasion resistance and high tear strength. They have
a convenient one-to-one mix ratio. Brush-On 40 can be painted
onto vertical surfaces without sagging and will cure with negligible
shrinkage. Brush-On 40 is used for models with deep undercuts,
and can be used to make glove moulds.

- Clear Flex
Clear Flex 50 and Clear Flex 95 are water white clear urethane
liquid rubber compounds designed for applications that require
absolute clarity and resistance to sunlight. Low viscosity ensures
easy mixing and pouring and the rubber cures at room temperature
with negligible shrinkage. Cured castings are clear, flexible
and will not yellow in sunlight. Vibrant colors and color effects
are achieved by adding pigments. Applications include making
clear-cut moulds, model reproductions, decorative cast pieces,
special effects and prototype parts. CAUTION: THIS PRODUCT IS
FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY. Read the Material Safety Data
Sheet and data sheet before using the product.
