URETHANE RUBBER

  • Vytaflex Series
Using Smooth-On’s exclusive “V-Polymer” technology, VytaFlex urethane rubbers offer superior physical and performance properties. VytaFlex urethanes are available in 20A, 30A and 60A Shore hardness’s and feature convenient one-to-one by volume mix ratios. Vacuum degassing is not necessary and VytaFlex rubbers cure with negligible shrinkage to a durable rubber that will last in production. VytaFlex mould rubbers are used for a variety of applications including making moulds to reproduce sculpture and architectural elements, as well as for making special effects, toys and prototypes. They will meet the stringent demands of production casting of concrete, plasters, and other materials. Vibrant colors can be achieved by adding So-Strong Color Tints. VytaFlex mould rubbers work especially well for casting pigmented concrete or gypsum.

  • Clear Flex
Clear Flex 50 and Clear Flex 95 are water white clear urethane liquid rubber compounds designed for applications that require absolute clarity and resistance to sunlight. Low viscosity ensures easy mixing and pouring and the rubber cures at room temperature with negligible shrinkage. Cured castings are clear, flexible and will not yellow in sunlight. Vibrant colors and color effects are achieved by adding pigments. Applications include making clear-cut moulds, model reproductions, decorative cast pieces, special effects and prototype parts.
