Fastcast Polyurethanes
The Fastcast series
of rigid polyurethane plastics are low viscosity and cure with
minimal shrinkage. They have an easy to use 1:1 mix ratio.
Fastcast resins are suitable for making negatives, moulds,
masters and vacuum forming tools. Fastcast resins can be filled
with mineral filler (to limit exotherm and improve machining)
or aluminium powder (to improve thermal conductivity).
F16 – fill to 150%, 3 minute pot life
F18 – fill to 180%, 4.5 minute pot life
F19 – fill to 360%, 6-7 minute pot life
Smooth Cast 300
The Smooth Cast 300 Series of liquid plastics are ultra-low
viscosity casting resins that yield castings that are bright
white and virtually bubble free. Vacuum degassing is not
necessary. They offer the convenience of a one to one mix
ratio. These resins readily accept fillers and can be pigmented.
Fully cured castings are tough, durable, machinable and paintable.
They resist moisture and mild solvents. Applications for
Smooth-Cast Liquid Plastics include reproducing small to
medium size sculptures, cold cast bronze castings, making
prototype models, special effect props and decorative jewelry.

Smooth-Cast ROTO
Smooth-Cast ROTO is a low viscosity liquid plastic that gradually
becomes thicker, making it ideal for rotational casting applications.
Castings will be hollow and lightweight but have the appearance
of being solid, allowing you to use less material to attain
the same finished look and substantially lowering your material
costs. Fully cured castings are semi-rigid and exhibit good
impact resistance. Castings resist moisture and mild solvents
and can be machined, sanded and painted. ROTO can also be
cast solid. So-Strong colour pigments can be used to tint
the white plastic.
Rapid Prototyping Plastics
This range of specialized urethane resins are designed for
prototyping and castings that require plastic type properties.
PX 226 - fast demoulding time,
similar to ABS plastic, 4 minute pot life,
Tg - 105 degrees Celsius.
PX 223 HT - low viscosity, Tg - 120 degree Celsius, similar
to ABS plastic.
PX 330 - Technical parts for aeronautical industry, Tg - 100
degree Celsius, Far 25 fire resistant rating.
